The Spirits of the Summit

Well hello there everyone!

Though this semester is still bringing stress my way, I have begun to smile each day and make the most of life and its challenges. See, I'm growing up! :) In any case, an update as to what's been going on in the wonderful world of Walter (say that five times fast). O_O

I've got three different job applications pending right now and am hoping for success on them. At the insistence of someone I work with, I applied for a supervisor's position at the computer labs and I think the interview went very well. Not that it really matters to me either way, I'm happy being a consultant too. There are times when the job is stressful, but I work with such an amazing group of individuals that I have fun no matter what I'm doing. I'll be content either way. I also applied for a job as an event programmer with the Union Program Council at the Idaho State University Student Union. I think this would be a ton of fun and a great way to get involved more with campus activities. My third application was for Convergys (granted, a call center, but I refuse to take the negative words of other people when I look at potential places of employment). Plus, it'd offer me great job security and I love working with computers. Here's to success on this front.

Filled out all of the scholarships that I'm eligible for and crossing my fingers that I get at least the political science scholarship. That would mean the absolute world to me :) Still have a few financial aid papers to get filled out, but I'm confident that it'll all get worked out.

Went on an amazing walk and had the best time with Jacob a few nights ago. I can't remember a time that I had more fun (or walked so far ^_^). What a spectacular amount of fun that was!

Spent an amazing two hours chatting with my best friend in the entire world from the east coast. I miss Andrea like nobody's business and I love getting to have random conversations with her. Thirteen years later and we're still best friends - most likely because we share the same sense of humor :) Golly, it was just unreal getting to catch up with her and our conversations make the time fly by like nothing else. Can't wait to get back to Pittsburgh and visit with her again!

Until next time, friends!
