Never in my life have I laughed as much during the past couple of days as I have between last week and this week or enjoyed myself and taken life as easy. As I promised with my previous posts, here's another exciting installment of what's currently going on in the wacky world of Walter. ^_^
So....this past weekend was the Blacksnake/ISU high school debate tournament and I was asked to judge for my former coach once again. Had an amazing time judging at the tournament and seeing a few people that I haven't gotten the chance to talk to in quite some time. Ended up judging four rounds of Lincoln-Douglas debates and a final round of After Dinner speaking and got to see some amazing competitors. Also made a new friend Katie at this tournament thanks to our mutual friend Jocelyn. Katie and I seemed to hit it off right away because we have such dirty minds, which didn't help when we ended up judging a semi final debate round together. Consequently, several novice were traumatized by the jokes we were making, but it's all in good fun, right? Hehe...let's hope they thought so.
Work the past couple of days has been spectacular as well. I've laughed so many times and been in such good company that it's making the shifts almost literally fly by. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun while I was on the clock. Between watching horror movies, Saturday Night Live skits, and joking with Tara and Scott, it's been an absolute blast and a much-needed break from the coming semester. I'm looking forward to everything that's coming my way!
