So, first up, my baking adventure with my dear friend Michelle. She and I are just about as busy as can be, but we still find time to hang out and do fun things. Case in point, yesterday afternoon. She invited me over for our baking day and we decided to bake scones: chocolate chip scones, I might add. You can now proceed to fall on the floor in jealousy. I've never had anything but a regular buttered scone before, so the ones that we decided to make were simply fantastic. Then we decided to continue on with another idea we had talked about a few weeks prior, having a tea party, so unexpectedly, baking day with Michelle turned into tea party of magical wonder day. It was the perfect afternoon adventure.
Second, I finally got to hang out with Steven (after wondering why we hadn't spent time together previously) and that was (if possible) even better than the afternoon adventure I had with Michelle. I decided to pull out all of the stops and cook Italian food once again (go me) and our dinner turned out so much better than I could ever have expected (thank you oven gods for not burning the garlic bread). Then, we headed over to the Bengal theater to watch Pitch Perfect, but we got the time wrong, so we decided to go back to my apartment and watch Kathy Griffin stand-up comedy on Youtube. Absolutely perfect. Spent about two hours laughing from that and then headed back to campus to catch Pitch Perfect (which was quite the hilarious movie) before saying goodnight.
All in all, it was the perfect Saturday - and I don't use that word often. I'm so grateful and thankful for the wonderful adventures I had yesterday and I hope there are more exciting times in store for the future!
Until next time!
