Guess We're In The Negatives Now

Hello Blogger World,

I should give myself a cookie for being so diligent and on top of things when it comes to updating my blog. Wait, give it a couple of weeks and let the semester settle in - I'm sure that'll all change :) In any event, it's nice to be able to write new posts every once in a while, because it's one of my catharses. Today, I thought it might be interesting to talk about something fun: the weather.

Seriously.

Granted you, living in Idaho for the past few years has taught me to never underestimate Mother Nature and to appreciate the sun when it fortuitously shines in the sky. The past two or so years, however, haven't really presented themselves with stereotypical Idaho weather: snowing every single day from October through March, always cold enough to build an igloo, etc. The past month has definitely changed that. For the second morning in a row, it has been at least -10 degrees outside, which makes working at 7am all the more fun.

Think about it.

Waking up half asleep, taking a shower and then starting to wake up, then walking outside and feeling your hair gel freeze your hair in place because you can't breathe due to the subzero temperatures. And then, of course, it takes your car twenty minutes to actually get up the nerve to drive in the weather, because you have to thaw the windows, wait for it to warm up enough so your hands don't twitch at the controls, and all that other fun stuff.

It's nuts.

On the other hand, that's why they invented space heaters!!!

Talk to you again soon!
