Hey November, Where'd You Come From?

The title of this blog is self-explanatory because I can't believe it's been almost two months since I last made a post to this blog. Blogger world, I am so super sorry for this :) I promise I'll make up for it with some thrilling insights about what's going on in my life right now. Obviously, this will take some time :)

Soooo....there's this dance concert that opens this weekend and I happen to be performing in the opening number, I Am No Longer Standing In The Gathering Dust. It's been choreographed by one of my favorite people in the world, Lauralee Zimmerly (who I also happen to teach First Year Seminar with). I'm thrilled to have been able to participate in a professional dance work. Plus, I get to dance with a dear friend of mine, Gena! I am so super excited that I get the chance to dance with the one person I've been friends with for the entire time I've been here at Idaho State University. It's like everything is coming full circle for me.

It also happens to be election week. Yahoo. And I say that with sarcasm intended because I've never seen so many political science majors posting online before at once -_- Obviously, that was sarcasm as well. I think it's remarkable that so many people get so riled up about politics before they even know the outcome of the election. I personally don't have time for that. I'm just going to do my civic duty on Tuesday and vote like everyone else, then live with the consequences when we find out on Wednesday who the victor was. Sounds simple, right? Good, I think so.

On another super note, I have everything due this week and I swear to llamas that my department does this on purpose. I'm thinking they have some kind of football huddle or something and then they yell BREAK! because everything happens to be due this week. Environmental politics, senior seminar, and political philosophy. I really do get the best of both worlds. Luckily, I sold my soul to the computer lab on Tuesday morning, so I should be able to get all of these assignments completed and ready to turn in by Thursday morning, then happy sleep time this weekend!

On a final note, I truly think I'm destined to be single for the rest of my workaholic life. Just food for thought.

Until next time!
