Clearly, I'm in the mood to write blog posts, because this is evidently my third one today - but I think the reason I'm doing this is because I don't want to get behind in posting about all of the exciting adventures that are coming my way. Case in point, I leave for California on Thursday morning and I want to make sure that I have all of the current adventures documented and recorded before I leave on another excursion. I guess it's a good thing that I rarely feel like sleeping, because I'd be running on fumes by this point. Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the blog post about the trip I took to Salt Lake City, UT with Tara, Dan, and Mikey.
So we headed down last Friday afternoon and got to the city 'round six p.m. We had some dinner, checked into our hotel room, met up with Dan, and then headed off to the main event of our trip: the rave at the SLC Convention Center. Yup, you guessed right: I went to a rave. Below is some evidence to prove it:
These next photos are pictures of the laser light shows at the rave specifically:
As you can probably tell, I was a little out of my comfort zone with everything that was going on that night, but the people I met there were so amazing, relaxed, and nice that it was hard not to have fun. This is a picture that Tara and I took near the end of the night:
The next day, we spent most of the day walking around downtown SLC, checking out antique shops, walking around Temple Square, and overall just enjoying being out of Pocatello. We had lunch at an amazing little restaurant called The Village Inn - best sandwiches I have ever tasted in my life. We headed back to the hotel room and then went off to Olive Garden for dinner. I must be one lucky boy because this was my second trip to the restaurant in a week.
After dinner, we headed back to the hotel and met up with Tara's friend Jason. We were all pretty tired, however, and I fell asleep almost instantly. From what everyone told me the next morning, though, I must have slept through World War III or something, because there was apparently something going on in the apartment upstairs the entire night. Guess that shows how exhausted I am, however, because I didn't hear a thing.
We headed back to Pocatello the next morning after a quick lunch at Carls Jr, and I'm so very glad that I got to take this trip with some great people - everyone was so nice and down-to-earth, plus, I got out of Pocatello for a few days.
Completely amazing, I tell you!
Until next time!
