Hiya Blog-I-Don't-Post-To-Enough,
It has been quite some time since I had the chance to sit down and write anything that wasn't directly related to environmental conservation policy in the Pacific Northwest or the political teachings of philosophers that I never did anything but glance at casually. Regardless, it is time to make up for lost ground, sit down, and enjoy one of life's greatest pleasures: the catharsis of writing and documenting what's going on in my wacky world. I promise that next semester I will be much more on top of things when it comes to updating this blog.
So.....I've almost survived the fall semester with my sanity (relatively-speaking) in check. There were so many projects to complete, assignments to do, and papers to write that I'm surprised I had time for sleeping at all this semester. Admittedly, taking both my senior seminar and political philosophy classes at the same time wasn't the smartest thing I could have done, but there you go - and fortunately they're done and over with now. Also did very well in my environmental politics class, something I found greatly interesting and a good class to couple with my senior thesis write-up. Taught ACAD 1102 - First Year Seminar once again with one of the most amazing professors I know and helped plan the Frank Church Symposium for the spring semester. All in all, being this busy has taught me one thing: being bored is not within my vernacular.
The other thing I've learned this semester is to look on the positive side of things and the brighter aspects of life. This was a huge step in my growing as a person because I used to always look at the negatives and as the world as half-empty, opposed to half-full. That having been said, one thing that I can no longer stand is people that look at the world in such a negative stance. Holding this view may have cost me friends from my Facebook list (and what a tragedy that is) but I can't stand them, I really can't. Especially people that bitch and moan 24/7 about how bloody terrible their lives are. Give me a break. If I can manage what I manage, then what you do on a daily basis isn't that hard to achieve either.
Sorry for the rant, but I wanted to share :)
Until next time!
